The Found Object and Canvas Embroidery

Tutor Maureen Hazlewood
Duration 2 days
Dates Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 April 2012
Fees Members $110 | Non-Members $132

When you hear 'the found object' what does it bring to your mind? Is it something you find on a walk on the beach, or on your daily walk? Is it a piece of jewellery, a button, a piece of lace of printed textile you find cleaning out drawers? Old or new, man-made or organic, we have lots of inspiration all around us.

For this workshop, we will discuss ideas to incorporate your 'find' into a piece of work whether it be abstract or more formal.

So, take a walk on the beach, along your street, through a shop or three and see what you find to inspire you.
