Course Outline

This popular course in Creative Embroidery covers Basic Stitches and Colour & Design, and is designed to help students develop their embroidery skills together with their own sense of colour and design.

The aim of the course is to encourage students to develop their own sense of colour and design. The course is open to all levels of experience.

The course is conducted by correspondence only, with particular consideration of those who do not find it easy to attend classes and are unable to meet with other embroiderers to share their passion.

The course runs from February to September each year, with lessons being posted out on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.  A total of 8 lessons are issued per year.  Lessons are to be completed by the student each month and returned to Headquarters for comment and guidance.  The complete course runs for 3 years, with students advancing from Level 1 to Level 3 over that period.  A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to those students who successfully complete all levels of the course, within the set period of the course.

Materials, threads and cost of outgoing postage to the student are included in the cost.  Closing date for enrolments is 1st   December of the preceding year.

Enrolments
This course is open to Guild members only.  Enrolled students must maintain financial membership of the Guild for the entire duration of the course.
