Brazilian Embroidery is a relatively new style of embroidery which was developed in the 1960s by a Brazilian woman, Elise Thirsch Maia.

Beautiful high gloss rayon and three-dimensional floral designs are a feature of this technique. Designs are always stitched in a particular order and the threads handled in a special way to maintain their twist. For this project, gold has been introduced to create an extra special effect.

Trigger cloth, an Australian fabric recommended for Brazilian work, will be available and small kits of both the gold and the rayon used in the project will be available in class. There will also be a range of Edmar threads from which to choose your own colour scheme, if desired.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience.

Kit Cost: Please enquire on booking.
