Metal Thread embroidery, though simple, gives a lush, sumptuous appearance to one’s work.

In this project we will study the different textural effects that can be achieved by using basic padding materials and gold threads in our stitching.

Students can stitch the pictured design or, if preferred, use a favourite image of a tree trunk.

A kit containing sufficient metal threads to stitch the project will be available from the tutor in class.

Basic knowledge of using metal threads is sufficient and these will be demonstrated in class if necessary.

This project is suitable for all levels.
