This is a two day surface stitchery workshop over two months. Over the last few years I have become a viewer of “Pinterest” and have a site and a large number of “Pins”. I have a collection of “Pins” from all over the world. I have found that a French Embroiderer, Cecile Franconie, who does a lot of surface stitchery using many, many different backgrounds and loads of different threads, has real appeal.  (I have also done a workshop with Cecile).

I have been experimenting with left over patchwork and quilting cottons. The colours I use are very much my own but the idea is that you can use WHAT YOU HAVE in your stash to design INTERESTING and UNIQUE pieces adding beads and trims, like laces, ribbons and braids for over the top embellishment.
