This project has nine small blocks measuring 20cm(8”) square and a large block measuring 50cm x 70cm consisting of a waterlily pond with rocks, 3D waterlilies, leaves and turtles. 

Students will be combining many embroidery stitches of old favourites and new to embellish the flowers within the design. A sampler will be built to produce a stitch library as a record to keep and use.

The delicate flowers are enhanced with a different bug or animal. The flowers on the 9 blocks are:

Forget-me-nots, Daffodils, Strawberries, Hydrangeas, Gum blossoms, Pansies, Cooktown Orchids, Fuchsias, Snowdrops.
