Our meetings are held in the evening to cater for all those people who have to work during the day. It is terrific to meet at Guild Headquarters because we can use all the facilities the Guild has to offer for example:
- we can borrow books from the library
- buy things from the shop eg books, thread etc and
- we can see the exhibitions at the Guild which change each month
Some members bring dinner (a microwave is available) or some pop around the corner to the local takeaway shops.
It is interesting to see everyone arriving looking frazzled but leaving calm and relaxed, that is what a few hours of gorgeous stitching can do for you - therapy!
You will be made welcome if you decide to visit us, we have lots of experienced stitchers in our group that can help you if you are learning or even if you have an embroidery problem that you would like solved.
