About Our Group

The heirloom group began with an enthusiastic number of ladies interested in heirloom sewing and the complimentary arts of smocking and clothing embellishments. With time, our members interests have moved on and we continue to meet as a long standing friendship group. Our focus has turned to other forms of embroidery and we continue to challenge each other by searching out small projects which let us explore a variety of techniques while providing an achievable outcome.

Although we no longer actively teach the heirloom sewing arts, for those who may like to learn these skills, Onita Pollitt, who teaches smocking at the guild, may be contacted. Onita’s classes are on the 4th Monday of the month at headquarters.
