Young Textile & Fibre Group (YTFG)

Our junior members of the Guild are known as the Young Textile and Fibre Group (YTFG).

We love to make fun things,  discover textiles,  learn about fibres,  experiment with colour and stitches.

The AIM of the Young Textile and Fibre Group is to encourage those interested in using textiles and fibre. The Group:
Promotes the development of: 

• creative skills and talents
• free and imaginative thinking and expression
• the creation and expansion of individual ideas and designs

Presents learning opportunities for members to acquire confidence and skills through:

• workshops
• group and related events
• the Newsletter

Encourages the use of a wide range of techniques using a variety of traditional materials and mixed media.

Stimulates a greater understanding of Australian and other cultures.
