Course Outline
This course is designed to train students in the art of teaching.
Delivery modes are subject to student numbers - if there are enough enrolments in each mode, this course is available 'by attendance' and 'by post'.
Theory and practical sessions will cover:
- Copyright, Ethics
- Occupational Health and Safety
- Communication and Teaching Skills, Handout Preparation
- Workshop Course Planning, Visual Aids
- Marketing, Brochure Writing, Resume/Profile Writing
- Lesson Planning, Lesson Presentation
- Evaluation, Portfolio Development
- Preparation, Presentation, Evaluation of a Micro Lesson
Successful participants will be offered a Certificate of Achievement (note this Certificate is not a teaching qualification).
TBA: Course Completion by Attendance
Students will need to attend class at the Guild headquarters from 10.00am to 2.00pm on two Sundays each month - usually March, April, May, June & July.
All students must attend a completion workshop at Guild headquarters on a date to be determined but usually in October.
Course Completion by Post
Lessons will need to be returned by the 1st Friday of each month - usually April, May, June, July & August.

Enrolments
This course is open to Guild members only. Enrolled students must maintain financial membership of the Guild for the entire duration of the course.
