Blue Mountains Group

1st Thursday of the month 10am to 3pm (Feb - Dec)
Susan Freeman  Email:
Meets at:
The Grand View Hotel, 174 Great Western Highway, Wentworth Falls NSW 2782
Annual fee of $40.00

About our group:
Our members have a diverse range of skills and expertise from beginner embroiderers to those who have a high level of proficiency.   Traditional as well as contemporary projects are embraced. The love of embroidery and sharing our skills are important to us. Visitors are most welcome, why not come along and be inspired.

How to find us:
We meet in the air conditioned Function Room at The Grand View Hotel, coffee and tea is provided and most members stay and have lunch at the hotel and then we may have an activity i.e. presentation or stitch and chat after lunch.
Parking - there is ample parking in the hotel carpark. Trains - the Hotel is easily accessible from the Wentworth Falls Train Station. Trains run each hour on the half hour.

3rd Wednesday - We also have a sewing day from 10am to 3pm on the third Wednesday of the month (except December),  where we meet in a member's home to chat and work on our own projects. With an increase of numbers we are currently looking for a suitable venue.

More Than Three Sisters - is an exciting new sub-group that has just been formed in the Blue Mountains. The focus is on creative, contemporary stitching and will encompass all forms of embroidery and different techniques. It is a relaxed, friendly, supportive group, willing to explore design and different techniques, sharing ideas, offering help when requested.  There will be little formalities as we wish to concentrate on stitching and trying out new ideas. We meet every two months on the last Wednesday of the month: Feb, Apr, Jun, Aug, Oct from 10:30am to 3pm. This sub-group meets in various members homes. The group work on a "theme' with 4 themes for the year decided at the beginning of the year.

We raise funds by having a sales table from member donations every 2nd meeting.
We have held 2 exhibitions of members works at the Braemar Gallery in Springwood.

We'd love you to visit and join us, so for more information please contact us (details at top of page).
