About our group:

Many of our members have done workshops and courses at the Guild and are happy to pass on their knowledge to others. Each member is free to work on their own project and there is always someone to assist if needed.

Our Activities include organising workshops and celebrating birthdays, and occasionally making a special morning tea/ lunch for ex members and prospective members. At Christmas we don't give each other gifts but rather collect money to buy toiletries to donate in starter packs for Dressed for SUCCESS an organisation which assists women to attend interviews dressed appropriately with the view to providing them a capsule wardrobe to commence work. The packs we provide are very popular especially for some women who have escaped domestic violence or have recently been released from jail.

Our Resources include a Library and small selection of embroidery threads.  Bring your embroidery project (if working on one), threads, frame and sewing kit, lunch, other food, mug for tea/coffee/water, we take it in turns to provide morning tea. The Gardenia Room is air conditioned and has excellent lighting, which has been provided by the Village for the benefit of their vision-impaired residents.

Visitors are most welcome, so contact us (see details above) for more information and we look forward to seeing you soon.

How to find us:
We meet in the Gardenia Room, Alan Walker Village, in Dalmar Place, off Mobbs Lane, Carlingford.  Parking is available on site, or in Dalmar Place. Bus service is available.
