About our group:

Mount Colah group was started by the very talented embroiderer Pat Langford in 1988.  Since then we have carried on her legacy with enthusiasm and enjoyment for creative embroidery.

Most members are experienced embroiderers but are happy to help those new to embroidery,  Group projects are worked on throughout the year, members have a choice to join in these or work on their own choice   We have a members roster to bring cake/biscuits for morning tea which is followed by a short meeting and show and tell.

Workshops run by experienced members,  as decided/requested by members.
Group activities and pass around projects throughout the year.
The group pass around activity usually finishes with the Xmas lunch and there is a challenge to make something with the finished piece during the Xmas break.
Once a year we celebrate anyone having a '0' Birthday that year with lunch 'out' and the group makes them an embroidered gift.

Visitors are most welcome and contact us (details above) if you would like more information.

Our members usually bring along embroidery project, threads, frame and sewing kit, lunch, mug for tea/coffee/water, tea, coffee and milk  as required for own use.
